THE LOCAL FUND – is open for applications

Local groups can apply for grants of £200 - £3,000 for activities and services that support people, keeping them connected to their community and with each other. Projects should also provide long term benefit to local people and the communities they live in.The fund addresses needs of local people around issues like:

inequality and hidden povertyloneliness and social isolationhealth and wellbeing

The fund also provides support with essential running costs so community organisations can keep their doors open.

Deadline: 13 May 2024.

Performance 

According to our live performance information (04/04/24) we currently have 120 good causes signed up and selling tickets and 861 players.  

In March there were 5 draws and 155 winners with the highest prize value won at £250 this was won twice.

We are currently on target to raise an estimated £49,327 annually for good causes across the Harrogate District based on current ticket sales.    

(*Please note this is an approximate amount as players come and go and may not sign up for a direct debit to commit them long term).  

Payments 

The payments (all the 50ps from your ticket sales) were authorised on Tuesday 2 April so you will see some additional funds in your bank accounts.   

Top tips for boosting ticket sales

Here are a few simple ideas for boosting your ticket sales:

 

 

Regularly share posts on social media about your fundraising with The Local Lotto, tag us, and use #TheLocalLotto to spread the word. Don't forget to remind your supporters that by playing, they're not only backing your cause but also entering to win amazing prizes!Let everyone know on your website that you're raising funds with The Local Lotto - add a link to your profile page.Utilise all your marketing channels! From traditional posters and leaflets to online newsletters, make sure to highlight how easy and rewarding it is to support your cause through The Local Lotto.

Don’t forget

Keep your profile page on The Local Lotto website updated with fresh and compelling content, making sure your fundraising target is up to date.Share success stories, highlight projects you've been able to accomplish, and set ambitious fundraising targets to inspire your supporters to rally behind your cause.

On Saturday 27 April the national draw will take place, and one lucky person will win an iPhone 15 Pro Titanium – the lightest, strongest iPhone yet, with a state-of-the-art GPU for gaming, and the most advanced iPhone camera system yet, for professional quality photo and video!

 

Your supporters don’t have to do anything different – their normal weekly ticket(s) will automatically also enter them into this draw.
